Liberty vs. Security

As we have witnessed throughout history, there are two fundamental classes of people: those who want to live quiet and peaceable lives, and those who want to control others. The former group tends to mind their own business, believe in liberty, believe in fundamental rights, believe in the rule of law, believe that statism is unnecessary. The latter group believes otherwise.

The events of September 11, 2001 have suddenly drawn a few lines in the sands of life. Since that day subsequent events have distinctly exposed who are members of those two fundamental groups. Even some people who in the past have called themselves libertarian have shown their true colors by shouting for the use of force and coercion to resolve issues, as well as calling for Leviathan measures to provide security in place of liberty.

To add salt to the wounds, Congress is now considering a bill that will drastically curtail liberties for the next two years. Is Congress part of the former group or the latter?

As shared with you in a recent commentary, a fundamental root issue is legal plunder. Guess which group is responsible? Those who desire to live quiet and peaceable lives or those who wish to control others?

The question at hand is whether everybody truly understands what is at stake? Simply put, the battle for liberty vs. security is the issue. Those people who advocate liberty desire only the opportunity to live their lives and trade peaceably and voluntarily. Those people who wish to control others often will go to extreme lengths, legal or illegal, to provide your security and maintain their control. You are witnessing those desires right now, each and every day in the headlines of the news.

I strongly recommend you read a recent commentary written by Lewellyn Rockwell. I could not address the issue better ourselves, therefore I ask you to read Mr. Rockwell’s words.

Although I distrust polls because the results are easily controlled by the nature of the questions asked, recent numbers indicate that more than 80% of the people questioned want to go to war, and more than 90% support the recent assault on Afghanistan. NESARA provides a solution of peaceful prosperity, a solution that if enacted ten years ago might have easily helped to have avoided the awful events of the past month. After you read Mr. Rockwell’s commentary, take another moment to reflect. I believe NESARA is a rational and politically doable solution to halt much of the madness I see around us. Do you agree?
